There are some trade-offs, though, like the lack of an automatic feeder and slower printing speeds.
It produces incredibly detailed and colorful photos, supports various paper sizes up to 13" x 19", and doesn't cost much to maintain. If you need to print photos, get the Epson EcoTank Photo ET-8550 instead, an all-in-one supertank model. Pictures come out looking flat, grainy, and lacking in detail. Regardless of which model you choose, remember that laser printers aren't well-suited for photo printing, and that applies to the MF743Cdw and all of its variants. If you don't need all of the features this model has and want to save some money, there are cheaper variants available, like the Canon imageCLASS MF741Cdw, which lacks duplex scanning and NFC support. There's no need to install drivers or apps it works fully with Macs straight out of the box. Also, the drum is built into the cartridge, so you don't need to replace it separately. As for maintenance, the toner cartridges last a long time, so you won't need to replace them that often. It has an ADF-equipped scanner with single-pass duplex scanning, although it's a little slow as it only processes five pages per minute. It supports automatic double-sided printing, and it has a large 300-sheet input tray, which is great for large print jobs, as you won't have to interrupt the printing to refill the paper tray. It produces amazingly sharp documents, prints very quickly at up to 29 pages per minute, and yields thousands of prints.
